London Attractions in 1900: Olympia
Arthur H. Beavan continued his survey of London's entertainment, in Imperial London, published in 1901, with this look at Olympia:
Olympia, next to the Addison Road station, Kensington, is another big example
of iron and glass, looking as if the central transept of the Crystal Palace had
been transported thither.
At intervals it wakes up from its forlorn and deserted appearance, and blossoms
into a gigantic menagerie a la Barnum and Bailey, or into a gorgeous spectacular
entertainment of the Imre Kiralfy order.
